Acupuncture and the non-invasive AcuPips ear seeds

What is Acupuncture?

An Holistic Treatment - characterised by the treatment of the whole person, taking into account mental and social factors, rather than just the symptoms of a disease.

Acupuncture is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and is considered an holistic treatment because it observes the person as a whole, and treats the underlying weaknesses, taking into account both physical and mental health.

Acupuncture differs from conventional medicine because it is not a blanket approach. Put simply, if you have two people struggling with the same symptoms, they will be treated differently, because acupuncture looks to treat the underlying cause of disease.

Very thin needles, think hair width, are placed at specific points along the body to release the flow of the body’s vital energy, or Qi, in turn creating balance within the body.

The analogy I like to use is, if you think of a long winding river, and at various points along this river, debris has fallen into the water. This debris stops the river from flowing freely, causing whirlpools, blockages and disruption along the way. Acupuncture serves to clear these blockages, to make the river free flowing once more and create harmony again.

The purpose of Acupuncture is to balance the body and in doing so, free it from disease, either physical, emotional, or both, creating optimum health.

What are AcuPips ear seeds?

AcuPips ear seeds are designed and manufactured by Traditional Acupuncturist Zoe Stott who saw a need for people to treat themselves whenever they wanted.

The ear is seen as a microcosm of the body, and is covered in over tiny 120 pressure points, which when activated in specific combinations, can bring about a really great change both mentally and emotionally.

AcuPips ear seeds use the same theory as acupuncture, the only differences being that they are placed on the ears only, there are no needles involved, and you can apply them from the comfort of your own home!

It really is that easy!
