Zoë is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Five Element Acupuncturist with a wealth of experience. One unforgettable patient encounter, some research into auricular therapy blended with her clinical expertise, (and a small personal transformation!), and AcuPips was born. Here is her story.

Back in 2009 I left my highly stressful job in advertising, to have a baby. After becoming a mother, the contrast between the life I had and the life I wanted became impossible to ignore.

This huge change led to a re-evaluation of my life, so much so that I made the decision to leave London city life completely and retrain in something I considered to be worthwhile. I simply felt a compelling need to help others.

I went back to university to do a degree in Acupuncture. The same year saw me move house as a single mother of two children and slowly build my acupuncture clinic in the converted garage of my house. 

It was in that clinic that the earliest seeds of AcuPips were planted – quite literally!

One of my long-standing patients, a lovely South African woman with a penchant for forgetting her appointments, developed a particular fondness for the tiny ear seeds I used in treatment. As the CEO of a worldwide advertising agency, she loved the sense of grounding they gave her and would occasionally arrive at my front door asking, ‘Can you replace my pips please?’.

The nickname stuck. The enthusiasm was ignited. The idea for home kits grew. And AcuPips was created.

I set out to design the UK’s first DIY ear seed kits, combining ancient auricular therapy with a minimalist, modern feel.

The vision I saw was that acupuncture and acupressure should be made available to everyone. I wanted to build a brand on the belief that ancient practices can fit beautifully into modern life.

Today AcuPips is a leading voice in modern ear seeding, offering beautifully designed ear seed kits and education that make holistic wellbeing approachable and accessible for everyone.

What began as a personal journey to help others has grown into a brand that empowers others to reconnect with their bodies, one tiny seed at a time.
